Fontana Village continues to be our host with the most in 2020. For all of those staying with us at Ground Zero, if you want to reserve the exact same cabin or room for next year please do so during checkout. If you wait until Monday someone may beat you to the punch.
Monday reservations open to everyone who hasn’t stayed at Fontana before as well as to see if that cabin or room you had your eye on opened up. Always remember to mention MATG to get the negotiated rates!!!
As we all gear up or arrive we wanted to share the final events list. As always the schedule will be posted at the registration tent and a handout will be provided with your Swag Bag/Lunch Gift Card//Dash Plaque. Without further ado:

We know discussion about driving in the area is common but… The area and groups like ours draw a lot of attention and we’d much rather it be of the positive variety. Please read our general guidelines below and remember to use common sense and courtesy out there!
-DO NOT CROSS THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINE
-At all times, do not drive like an idiot.
-Do not drive outside your own abilities, especially if you’re in a run and trying to keep up with the leader or the car ahead of you.
-Don’t speed, these are public roads
-At night and in low-visibility conditions, be very careful. Large wildlife can jump out of the woods in any curve, and people HAVE hit things like boar, bear, and deer. Hitting a 400 pound wild boar can ruin your weekend.
-Slow in the Village. Fontana has a lot of families on vacation and small children running around, so be very careful and don’t drive fast in the Village
-Pull Over!! If you have vehicles stacking up behind you, pull over in a safe area and let them pass. The Dragon has many paved pull-offs explicitly for this. Use them.
-Beware of very large trucks. Though they’re illegal on the Dragon, they do still find their way up there from time to time, and they are still legal on all the other area roads. They take up a LOT of space, especially when trying to navigate the tight corners that the Miatas eat for lunch.

It’s hard to believe that there’s less than a week until MATG 2019!
With only 6 days (SIX DAYS?!?) until we meet up again for a weekend of fun in the Dragon’s curves we want to shine a bit of light on a long term vendor.

With only 7 days remaining until the start of MATG XXIII, we’d like to let you know that the crew from uRace Simway will be returning for a second year at MATG. Last year they were very popular and even held a competition for the fastest lap in a Miata! Who knows what this year will bring? Make sure to stop by and try your hand at some amazing sim driving beside the General Store!
Alex Todd is returning with SNS Mazda Parts this year. He always brings an excellent selection of used replacement parts as well as some rare and imported pieces. He should be well-stocked for this year! Be sure you make time to wander through the SNS Mazda Parts booth and check out all the cool items for your Miata.
