Full House at Fontana Village

Fontana Village is reporting they are FULL(!!!) and have created a wait list for those who wish to stay at the village. Call them to get your name on the list. But don’t despair there are still places to stay while attending this year’s MATG event. Check out these locations http://gapmiatas.com/#lodging and give one of them a call to book your room.

We would also like to add that contracts with Fontana Village have been signed for MATG 2020 and our 25th year celebration in 2021.

Tuskeegee CLOSED for 2019

We just received word that the Tuskeegee Motel has been sold, and unfortunately will be closed for the 2019 season.

From our understanding the reservation book went missing during the transfer, so the owners have no way of contacting those with existing reservations for 2019. If you were planning to stay with them please make other arrangements.

When we come across the new contact information we will pass it along; at this time we have no way to contact them as the phone has been disconnected.

Please share as much as possible, and while we have no control we apologize for the pain this may cause.

KMiata’s Miata Meet Up

MATG XXIII is only 175 days away, but if you need your Miata fix before we take on the Dragon on August 1st, our friends at KMiata are holding a shindig at Gingerman Raceway on May 11th. Whether you want to stretch your Miata’s legs on track or you just want to shoot the breeze off track with other Miata enthusiasts, KMiata’s Miata Meetup fills the void. Miata Meetup is a grassroots-style event with track time for beginner to advanced drivers, quality driver education, or just bumming around the paddock with everybody’s favorite roadster. With less than 200 days until Miatas at the Gap 2019, here is the current availability within the room block at Fontana Village:

8 – Lodge Room with a Fireplace

1 – 2BR/1BA Laurel Cabin
1 – 2BR/2BA Azalea Cabin
5 – 2BR/2BR Azalea Cabin fp/wp
1 – 3BR/2BA Magnolia Cabin
6 – 3BR/2BA Hemlock Cabin

Of more than 130 rooms/cabins blocked, less than 25% remains, so hurry up and make your reservation! Just a reminder, if you would like to book one of these rooms at the discounted MATG rate, you’ll need to call Fontana directly at 800-849-2258 and tell them you’re with Miatas at the Gap.
